André Bayer (1906-1985) is a french ceramic artist, he was born in France. In the 1930s, the artist left Paris and went to Brussels to open his own ceramics studio. This decanter is the artist’s work from 1940s, which is strongly influenced by Art Deco Style. The geometric swirling circles continue to extend outwards and bulge outwards in the center of the bottle. Gold painting is a typical element of Art Deco style. Under the ceramic surface of the bottle cap is a wooden stopper. It is in good condition, with no bumps or cracks.
